About this website

Site structure

The main structure of this website is simple; it is indicated by the menu at the top of the left hand column of this page.

'New and forthcoming titles'

This contains a list of books published recently, or due to be published in the near future. Each title in the list contains a hyperlink that will take you to an individual page with full information about that title.

Other catalogue pages

The rest of the Seafarer catalogue is divided into sections corresponding to the seven menu items below 'New and forthcoming titles'. Within these sections, books are listed alphabetically by the author's lastname, with a brief description, extracts from reviews, bibliographic information including price, and a button to let buy online. Some sections are divided into several, linked pages.Some titles are linked to individual pages giving fuller information about that title.

'A–Z of Authors and titles'

If you know the title of a book, but not the author's name, or vice versa, or if you are not sure which section of the catalogue to look in, click on any entry in either of these lists to go straight to the relevant page.

'About Seafarer Books' and 'How to Order'

These pages describe the history and character of the company and the various ways you can order books listed on this site.

Adjusting text size

The site has been designed to let you adjust the text size to suit your own preferences, as well as the dimensions of your browser window. To make the text bigger or smaller, go to the 'View' menu in your browser and select the command that lets you change the text size (it should say 'Make text bigger', or 'Text size', or something similar, depending on the browser you use).

Printing

Some browsers are set by default not to print background colours. For page mastheads on this site to print properly, make sure your browser is set to 'Print background colours'.

Internet Explorer
On the 'Tools' menu, click Internet Options. Click the 'Advanced' tab. Under Settings, scroll down until you find the 'Printing 'category. Make sure 'Print background colors and images' is checked, and then click OK.
Firefox
On the 'File' menu, click 'Page Setup'. 'On the Format & Options tab', under 'Options', select 'Print background (colors & images)'. Click OK.
Netscape
On the 'File' menu, click 'Page Setup'. On the 'Format & Options' tab, under 'Options', select 'Print background (colors & images)'. Click OK.
Safari
On the 'File' menu, click 'Print'. On the 'Copies & Pages' pop-up menu, click 'Safari'. Select 'Print Backgrounds'. Click OK.
